whats the time? time for an update!

Well mummy really has been slack and aunty B is now telling Mummy she has to give an update on how i am doing!
well i am now a big 1 year old, i had a really cool birthday party and got lots of cool pressies such as a tonka truck, a trampoline, a book called tuff fluff the case of the duckies missing brain, some other books and clothes lots of stuff.
i can say lots of words now i say Mum, Dad, nan, cat, hey look, cya, yummy, up and down, rhiley, heya, ready steady go, whats that? ta, thankyou, no, yep and lots of other words i can also sing twinkle twinkle little star.
i can walk now and i am having lots of fun climbing onto everything and getting into heaps of trouble, Mummy chases me and i just laugh and run away its so funny when mum and dad chase me hehe.
mummy is going to put some photos of me later but we have to go out now so get Aunty Buzzy bee to remind her later!

Im so clever

 

Here are some recent photos of me, im getting so big now i am 5 months and have learnt how to crawl, I can roll both ways and sleep from 6 pm - 8.30 am. i love yoghurt as you can see from my third photo its so fun getting messy!
I had a new Baby cousin Zacahariah born on Friday the 13th July and Mum thinks he is very cute, i just cant wait til he gets bigger then we can play together. Oh and i forgot to add i have TWO teeth now!! its really cool i can bite real food! (Thanks Aunty Dee for telling mum about Rusks btw she would have never thought of them on her own hehe!)
not really much else to report, Mum has been a bit slack at posting recently for me, youd think she was busy all day or something!

My dedication

Well i got dedicated on sunday the 10th of june it was a really awesome day and lots of people came. I now have two god mothers how cool is that? Dee and Lindsey. i got heaps of really cool presents aswell including books a photo frame with my name engraved on it, a tigger jolly jumper, some clothes, a money box, some toys… wow so many i cant list them all! mum made me a cake… i was eyeing it up when we were at home but mum said i was to little to eat it stink aye?! anyway mum wrote me a poem and read it out so im going to write it here for all to read.

In heaven you created
a perfect little boy
and gave to us
this precious child
to bring us so much joy
to fill our lives
with love and laughter
and lots of cheeky grins
to fill our lives with happiness
and little sticky chins
but more to us you gave a child
to love to hold to raise
to teach him christian fellowship
to guide him in his ways
you said in your word
let the children come to me
do not hinder them for
the kingdom of heaven belongs to these
so on this day we dedicate
may our precious child grow
to learn about the truth of God
and one day come to know.

i had such an awesome day and im glad everyone could come and share it with me. when i got home tho i was so tired i fell asleep on the floor. its hard work being cute!

Hey Everybody

Hey everybody!
i am now 15 weeks and 4 days old, Mummy say’s that theres no point doing numerous posts for the months we have missed so i will just start from here and tell you all about what i have been up to.
well what can i say, this world is a whole new adventure, theres all these funny people wanting me to smile and coo and act cute. i get so bored acting cute, but lucky for me being cute just comes naturally.
I have learnt so much since i came into this world. when i was first born i didnt really want to do much, sleep and eat that was good enough for me, it was hard work being that little and everyone wanted cuddles!
But now i want to play, Me and Mummy and Daddy we sing together and play and have heaps of fun… but Mum keeps coming at me with the camera, i smile for a bit but then i get annoyed, geez how would she like someone flashing a camera at her all day every day.
I can now do heaps of things, i roll over and can sit up by myself for about 30 seconds before i topple over, i love bouncing around in my jolly jumper and the thing Mummy and Daddy love best is i sleep through the night.
Daddy tickles me heaps i think he is really funny i giggle and giggle, i love my Daddy and My Mummy and we love having heaps of fun together :)

My arrival as told by Mum


After what felt like a really long pregnancy, the estimated due date, 31’st Janurary 2007 rolled around but there was no sign you were coming. We waited in anticipation we had waited so long to meet you and Daddy and I felt like we couldn’t wait no more. On Thursday the 1st Feb (aunty chalya’s birthday) we were still waiting and there was no sign you were coming anytime soon, Kristin (the midwife) came to visit and i quite promptly told her i wanted you out, she gave me a stretch and sweep and we prayed things would start moving. we waited all day friday and on Saturday the 3rd in the morning i woke up with irregular contractions, i was so excited when i had my show it meant you were on your way…. or so we thought. I had irregular on and off contractions all saturday and all of sunday by that point i thought you were never coming. In the early hours of Monday the 5th feb i was finding it hard to sleep with pain in my back i got up to go to the toilet and with a definitive pop my waters broke, we were finally underway.  I spent most the day rocking back and forth on the deck, it was a really hot day. Nanny Deverill and Daddy were with me giving me lots of support, by the late afternoon i was only 2cm dilated and between Kristin, Nanny and Myself we decided that we would go down to wellington so that i could have an epidural and so we could speed things up. we arrived at Wellington hospital about 6 pm just in time for the anethiatist, ahh pure bliss, the epidural soon wore off and you decided to be stubborn and wouldnt let me lie on my left side so the epidural could only work on my right side. I finally fell asleep at about 10 pm and woke up at midnight and kristin had wonderful news, i was fully dilated, i swear i could have kissed her!! we let the epidural wear off and at about 1 am we moved to the delivery room to PUSH!
after 32 mins of pushing you entered the world, weighing in at 8 lbs 9 oz. 1.32 am. 6th Feburary 2007.
When i held you in my arms i knew straight away you would be called Rhiley Alexander Stevens, Daddy was so proud of you and Nanny was crying, you wowed us all with your alertness with your bright blue eyes and Blonde hair!
you had so much hair!
